PaymentSpring’s new Checkout Widget is making it easier than ever for businesses and nonprofits to add payments to their website.
Willa DiCostanzo, Lincoln Earth Day board member, used the widget to add different sponsorship buttons to Lincoln Earth Day’s site.
“The widgets are sweet,” Willa said. “When you know what you want, you can log in, create or modify your button in PaymentSpring’s dynamic system, and in literally 30 seconds you have your widget ready to use. The framework of it is so slick and easier than other platforms I’ve used in the past.”
PaymentSpring users can set up a single button or form to collect donations or fees, or they can use multiple buttons for different purposes. It’s as simple as logging into the dashboard, answering a few questions and copying and pasting the code to their site.
Lincoln Earth Day’s mission is to celebrate environmental stewardship, promote sustainable living and provide education. Each year, volunteers organize an environmentally-focused event that’s free and open to all of Lincoln. Willa said using PaymentSpring has made the day-to-day management of a nonprofit run significantly smoother.
“We’re trying to set up an organization we can get others interested in. We have new coalition members serving on the board, so we use a system like PaymentSpring to streamline our process,” Willa said. “You can definitely tell it will make it easy for any future board members. I wouldn’t hesitate to hand it off to anyone.”
The Checkout Widget makes payments easy for the end user too.
“The user experience is so much more comprehensive,” Willa said. “In the past, we had a button that took users to a new page through PayPal and people were confused whether or not they had to set up an account, but now it’s all on our page.”
